Well, our day was supposed to be June 21 but since it was the day of my graduation and it was a day for family, we decided to celebrate it the night before. After his work and mine, we had a milk bath together and a couple’s massage. At first it was awkward because we were just alone in a room together in a tub but then we started to play with the water and the rose petals around the tub. We splashes water and threw petals ;) and I tell you people who would want to try the bath, it DOES NOT taste like MILK!!! We then had our massage and it felt great, we both loved it. We felt so relaxed and stress was just simply gone. We felt really sleepy after so we went home.:) it was a day of relaxationJ Now spa has already been checked out of our list

Last week, there was a pictorial in the school where in one of the teacher was the main model and there were 4 students included in the picture. It was fun and exciting especially that it would be published in a fashion magazine. :) fun fun fun

life as a teacher

I am beginning to enjoy the gym because I have an excuse to reward myself from the hard work out that I did. I would usually be done in 1hour but if I push myself to make it 2 hours then I get to reward myself with a Strawberry and Mango fruit shake every time.

I have been busy the past two weeks so I had to stop blogging for a while. It’s amazing how I love my kids. I teach in the morning from 8:30-1100 and assist from 11:00-1:30. I love it that i have a teacher aid in my first class, having only 8 students. They are just so sweet that on the second week the students will hug and kiss me goodbye and say “I love you.” Every friend that knows me well that I don’t like to hug anyone or anything. But this is a new thing for me especially hugging and I do love it! I could just hug every kid of mine.

So for the past week, I have been to DLSU for my recognition rites and like every responsible student I skipped the mass and the rites itself and just attended the rehearsal. I missed everyone! I miss Jess, Lyra and the whole ECED!! Everyone has changed and has a life of their own! It is just remarkable. And JUNE 21 was the official day that I march and got my diploma. It is said that the diploma that we will be getting is the very first hologram diploma by the university! How lucky are we?! Another thing that I am proud of was that I graduated honorable mention which was a first for me since I don’t excel in academics. And what sunk in the most was that I have officially graduated.

After graduation, we went home to eat lunch and sleep to wait for our 6:30pm reservation in Alba. I love Spanish food especially that fine dining place. Even if it was buffet and it cost thousands, I did enjoy 2 plates of the main course :) and a plate of dessert.

So today is a Monday. Yesterday the whole family went to Tagaytay Highlands to eat in the steakhouse as my treat for the month and the bill cost 8,538php. Well, it’s a good thing that I didn’t pay for the whole thing or that my whole month pay for one of my jobs. I just realized that my working hours for both jobs are MWF-8:00-5:00pm and TTH-8:00-2:00 pm and I am earning approximately 16k a month excluding my weekend job in the travel agency. Hearing about a pay that high seems good for a fresh graduate but the things that I have to pay in a month would eat up my pay.

Another important thing that has happened tome that just made me feel mature is that I have my own credit card! I applied in DLSU for a credit card and it was approved! :) From there daw I can build my credit lineJ I am just so happy!

Since my brother’s birthday is coming up, and my sister’s, I have to buy them something expensive and work it. My budget will be 3k each.:) hmm.. what to buy?? Any suggestions?

Marriage?

Yesterday, the teachers and I cleaned two classrooms, major spring cleaning; I was able to get tons of cuts on my hands in just 4 hours.

One of the teachers asked me earlier, “Are you planning to get married soon?” I couldn’t answer the question; I thought, why ask a 19 year old that? But then I answered “No.” I am not ready to get married; I have so many things to accomplish and so many things that need to be done before I have any plans in settling down. She also told me the story on how her husband proposed which I thought was super sweet then I started to formulate ideas and scenarios on how I wanted to be proposed. I also started thinking of my ideal wedding which is not at all traditional since I wanted the bride maids to wear jeans. All of these ideas were just popping out of my head just to show that I do like the idea but it will only remain an idea until the time is right.

After So Many Days

Last Friday, I left work at 1pm which shocked the teachers because I am just suppose to stay until 12nn only but I had to put up my classroom decorations and had to helping fixing for the PTA the next day. I didn’t go to the PTA because I had a review to attend to for the board exam. So I picked up my brother then we went home, at 4pm I went to the gym to do very quick workout and JT, Julie, Billy and I met in TriNoma to watch Kungfu Panda! The line was Hell! It was stupid for us to watch on the first day of showing and at the same time it was a Friday so the crowd was torture, the line was long and it was hot as if air condition never existed. Despite all the negative things that had happened, the movie itself was funny! We all loved it especially me—I loved the slow motion parts! Hilarious!

Saturday was a day with Marie! Everyday is a day with Marie! Even if the whole batch has been separated since we all have work and we soon will graduate, it is fun that we still get to reunite and talk. Jess and I try to see each other once a week or once in two weeks, we just have to fit our busy schedule.

Sunday was a day at home and so was Monday. Julie and JT stayed in my room the whole day to watch TV and DVD on Bones season 3 and CSI season 8. The story had so many twists like Zach being the Apprentice and Warrick being killed but the Under Sheriff. It was shocking that it was really hard to internalize the story.

Anyway Sunday, we had a barbeque and Billy was invited. The weird part that I could never get was that Daddy and Billy were talking about computer security and that it is the “in” thing now. Anyway the barbeque was fun and yummy.

Today though was a day of fixing everything. One of the teachers bought new toys and materials from the school and she had to fix them while I had to continue in drawing and fixing class decorations. When I get home, I have to fix all the worksheets and arrange then kasi its magulo at the same time not organized.

Fast Food Junkie

Today was fast food day for me! Haha! Everyone know that fast food is bad for your health and for your figure especially for me but I couldn’t resist! I’ve been going to the gym these couple of days just to remove all toxins from my body since I had ingested so much when I was in Oahu, but now that I am back to eating healthy, it was really hard! I had 2 pc. Pancake from McDonalds and a hash brown for breakfast, nuggets and spaghetti with large Sprite for lunch, and 2 slices of Pizza from SnR with 4 BIG meatballs that was made from scratch! That was my whole meal yesterday! It was so unhealthy so I told myself, no more fast foods for only a week just to see if I will survive wahaha!

I also got paid today so I treated the family with 2 huge SnR pizza and they did love it. What made my day was when my dad was selling a TV that he won in a golf tournament. He was offering it to me for 3.5k and when I checked online for that small 14” TV it cost 6.8k so I did agree and to add to that, don’t have to pay full, I just pay half today and the other half on my next paycheck. :) I HAVE MY OWN TELEVISION! That I paid with my own money! Yehey!

My artistic skills have been challenged once again. I realize that drawing building like houses, banks and fruit stands are just to hard to draw. I know the idea of making it is simple but every time that I draw something, I feel that the drawing it too simple and plain. So that means I was never meant to bean architect haha!

A Warning to Everyone

Jess and went out yesterday. We met in DLSU to process our TOR and it was hell! The line was very long for the registrars and then the accounting as well but the worse part was going back to the registrars because we had to wait for an hour just to submit the papers and that was just it! We just had so many comments about how the registrars manage themselves like there should be a tray so that time won’t be wasted, or that all the three counters must have tellers since there was only one person assisting the hundreds of people who would like to request for documents. Another thing that ticked me off was that the office was under going renovation which means the air conditioner was low and it seems that we were sharing our own sweat, there were not tiles making the floor look old and dirty and the cables were out and hanging. Well, to be honest, it was not the right time for them to renovate and if they ever do on the right time, they should make the office a little bigger. Jess even suggested that there should be free coffee and bagels while the students wait to be called. Hehe

After everything was done, we went to our favorite spot for lunch—the gazebo. We ordered our favorite food which was Footmeltsilog with bacon and Naicha/ RedZhen. YUM YUM!!!

We then met with the “former” teachers of HH which was really relaxing because of all the stories. I haven’t seen then in months and everything has changed. Including the school and the directress had changed as well! There were so many things that had happen. Many of the stories to did shock me like the tax increase with in the year which was not even suppose to be done (from a reliable CPA Lasallian) and the deduction to the salary of Philhealth with no number or evidence that there was even a Philhealth in their benefits. It was even sad to know that the directress doesn’t even know how to subtract, add and multiply! It was a good thing though that a parent confronted her and told her “There is something wrong with you.” Imagine this; approximately 12 teachers have left her within a year including me and Jess, which means that the teacher would rather pay the damages than to work for her. Another dumb idea of hers was that she turned off the air conditioner because of the bill but if you think of it, the tuition fee alone is high already and in this school year there has been an increase of 20k. So the question is: What happened to all of the money that the parents pay? The crazy part is that she accepts and moves up students without any assessment and knowing that the students isn’t even ready just to have slots for the other new enrollees! I don’t even know what you call that! The saddest part of all was that many of the parents were sad, frustrated and crying because the teachers were leaving and those teachers do have DEDICATION in their work and that many of the students have changed their negative attitudes and that in a young age started to read. One of the students could already read, spell out his name, know his birthday and parents name at the age of 3years old and 8 months—guess what the directress said—“babaan mo ang reading assessment para dito siya next year.” What a directress! I pity the school and the students because they are suffering because of her. If you think about it, every teacher who had been through her has resented her and would express themselves to other teachers on their negative experience!

News

Then last Friday, Marie and I had a demo on baking cookies! I headed the circle time and she headed the lesson proper. It was the first time that we had a demo together and in working hand in hand with each other. We had 5 students and the funny thing was that they were so “makulit” that they wanted to touch the oven toaster even if it was hot. One students even said, “Teacher, Why are you the teacher not Teacher Mia?” it was cute in a way but I said that I will be teaching today and that Teacher Ella (Marie) will also teach today.” The outcome of the whole class was just right but the outcome of the cookies was weird since the cookies were hard as a rock. We did everything by the box! The box even mentioned that we should not add too much or too little of water and we did! Well, that was false directions.

Currently I have been drawing and painting the characters of the movie Finding Nemo J and it is just now that I realize that I have the gift of drawing and painting cartoon characters. I do regret not knowing about this talent of mine when I was in college because wit would help a lot in my teaching demo and for my practicum. Come to think about it, I realize that it was all psychology! I kept on telling myself that I can’t draw making it hard for me to even draw a face but now I can. I was also given an extra responsibility and that is to draw another theme for the other classroom “Our Neighborhood” with this I will be able to draw and to think that I will be the only drawing. Some will say, “Pressure!” but it isn’t for me. It like I would rather draw than to make all the lesson plans for the whole year. Haha. You would even imagine how I blended the colors to match the colors of the sea creatures in Nemo. For squirt, I had o mix emerald green with yellow, white, and brown. Artist na Artist ang dating. Wahahah..

Anyway, Jess and I went out last May 22.We met in Shakey’s and we just ate and talked and talked and talked and laughed and picture! Billy then came o pick me up and then Mike was there with his family haha… surprising moment and afterwards Jess, Billy and I went to see the gadgets and the 70% Body shop beauty stuff. It was a fun night. Billy picked me up but I drove home. That is our routine lagi, he will pick me up somewhere then I will drive home and drop him in Tri Noma and then he will go home. gulo namin

Ok just to add so I won’t forget. Billy’s course is BS- Computer Science and IT majoring in computer network engineering

Bs-CSITCNE.. I keep on forgetting!!

PILI is BILLY

pili!pili! pili!
wahaha pili is billy!!
hehehe
keaki is jackie

Follow up news

I have been for 3 weeks already and the days are just so light! I wake up everyday at 6am and I'll stay in bed until 7am. I will be finish with all my morning routines and then leave the house at 8am. The drive will take 25minutes to Tomas Morato and before I get to the school, I will drop by McDonald’s to order Hash Brown worth 22php and a 27php hot chocolate. After all that I will go to the preschool. --- The good thing now is that the teachers gave me my own set of keys for me to go in if I am too early or would do some over time.

For the first and second week, I was doing lesson plans and worksheets. I also did my very first tutorial with the 2 students who are just opposites. One is very active, speaks fluent English and could read a whole story which is rare for his age while the other is tamed and read softly, he also has a hard time in reading and speaks fluent Filipino. So, will I was doing the tutoring; I had to switch languages every time I talked to them. It was a major “nose bleed” moment for me.

finally a blog that i like

Finally!
